FORT RILEY — Remember the fallen, honor those who serve, teach the next generation the value of freedom.

That’s the message of Wreaths Across America, which was localized on Saturday at Fort Riley Post Cemetery. The U.S. Army installation has been the site of a Wreaths Across America ceremony for 18 years.

Col. Gerald Nunziato, Fort Riley garrison commander, said Saturday was a day to pause, not simply to lay wreaths, but to lay down markers of “eternal remembrance.”
