Howard made the announcement that he would be entering the portal the Monday following K-State’s November 25th loss to Iowa State. That loss ended the regular season for the Wildcats.
He has one year of eligibility remaining while USC is likely looking to replace last year’s Heisman Trophy winner in Caleb Williams, who is expected to enter the NFL Draft this coming spring. Howard is also reportedly considering entering the draft, but has been tabbed by multiple recruiting services one of, if not the, top transfer portal player available this winter.
In 34 games with the Wildcats, Howard for nearly 5800 yards and leaves as the school record holder for passing touchdowns in a career and in a season.
