Kansas State snuck in a final incoming transfer before hitting the road for Thursday’s Rate Bowl, and he may have been the best of the bunch so far.

Former Arizona safety Gunner Maldonado signed with the Wildcats on Monday after visiting Manhattan early last week.

Maldonado, who will be playing for the third Wildcat team of his career, started his college career at Northwestern in 2020 before transferring to Arizona after playing in three games in his true freshman season under Pat Fitzgerald in Evanston.
