
A house in a southwest Manhattan neighborhood sustained more than $400,000 in damage after a fire on Friday.
The two-story home at 4517 Lamonte Drive showed heavy fire from the rear when 16 Manhattan Fire Department firefighters on six trucks arrived after receiving the report of a structure fire shortly before noon. Crews contained the fire within 30 minutes. Riley County Fire District No. 1 provided a mobile air unit to fill air bottles at the scene.
