A state representative is receiving a promotion.
Republican Rep. Kenny Titus won the race for the Kansas Senate District 18 seat Tuesday with 67% of the vote, defeating Democrat Matthew Robin, whose name still appeared on the ballot despite ending his campaign in late August.
Titus currently represents District 51 in the Kansas House of Representatives. He brought in 19,924 votes, while Robin received 9,836.
