Pottawatomie County residents will have a 9.9% property tax decrease next year.
County tax payers will see a 2.856 mill levy decrease in the General Fund for 2025, which is a drop of $2,311,044 in ad valorem taxes levied.
The 2025 General Fund includes a 4.5 percent cost of living raise for employees ($610,476 gross), two additional commissioner positions ($173,793 benefit wage), a Road and Bridge Mechanic position ($112,056 benefit wage), and an Assistant Road and Bridge Supervisor position ($121,327 benefit wage).
