A Colorado man was arrested Thursday evening at the Riley County Law Enforcement Center on multiple charges, according to authorities.

Nicholas Caesar Chavez, 24, of Greeley, Colorado, was first taken into custody at approximately 5:30 p.m. April 9, 2026 on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. That warrant stems from original charges of interference with a law enforcement officer and two counts of battery of a law enforcement officer.

Chavez was later arrested again at approximately 6:29 p.m. at the same location on two counts of theft of property or services with a value between $1,500 and $25,000. Those charges stem from reports originally filed in December 2025.

Chavez was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
