Manhattan city commissioners will discuss the proposed budget and sales tax renewals during a special work session Tuesday.

The commission will need to take action on July 7, in regard to the revenue-neutral rate for the 2027 budget. Administration also seeks feedback regarding the recommended 2027 budget to prepare for a final budget adoption in September, and direction on the sales tax renewal, which will need to be acted upon by the end of August to make the November ballot.

Other items on the agenda include an update from Riley County Police Department on automated license plate readers and a Manhattan Regional Airport update.
