Riley County Police are investigating after it was reported that the City of Randolph was defrauded by a scammer.
Officers filed the report just after 7 pm on Tuesday after city officials in Randolph reported that a unknown suspect posing as a consultant group defrauded the city out of $40,000.
The city is listed as the victim in this case. Officers encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
