He can’t really explain or describe it, but going into Kansas State’s 29-27 win over rival Kansas on Saturday, senior Wildcat kicker Chris Tennant knew he was going to have to make a big kick.
Whether you want to call it a premonition or just a lucky guess, Tennant’s kicker’s intuition was proven right when K-State’s season and a 16-game winning streak over the Jayhawks rested on his right leg Saturday night.
In a game where Kansas outplayed K-State through much of the night, it was the Wildcats’ special teams unit that saved the day.
