The staff then takes the lists made by the shelter residents, wraps the presents, and distribute them on Christmas morning. Beltran says this event is important to her, given her own personal history with the shelter.

The tree is located west of the Hilton Garden Inn at 416 S 4th Street. Anyone interested in sponsoring an ornament can visit the shelter between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
