On January 25, 2025, officers filed a report of fraud after a 68-year-old male was contacted by an outside agency regarding a mistake on his bill. The victim, following instructions from an unknown individual, withdrew and deposited money into a different account. As a result, the victim lost $9,100.
The incident is under investigation, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for tips that lead to a successful resolution of the case, and individuals can remain anonymous when submitting information.
