
A Manhattan man was arrested Thursday morning on multiple outstanding warrants and new drug-related charges.
According to the Riley County Police Department, an officer made contact with 54-year-old John Swartz in the 3000 block of Conrow Drive on April 24 at approximately 10:34 a.m. During the encounter, Swartz was arrested for three failure to appear warrants issued by the Riley County District Court.
The original charges tied to those warrants include battery, two counts of interference with law enforcement, and a third-offense possession of marijuana.
Upon his arrest, Swartz was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, leading to additional charges.
Swartz remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $77,000.
