The RCPD is investigating a vandalism case involving 41 damaged headstones at Sunset Cemetery in Manhattan.
According to the RCPD, officers filed a report for criminal desecration just before 9 a.m. Wednesday at the cemetery in the 2000 block of Leavenworth Street.
The City of Manhattan was listed as the victim after an unknown suspect reportedly knocked down and damaged 41 headstones.
The total estimated loss is approximately $16,400.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the RCPD or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Anonymous tips submitted through Crime Stoppers could qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
