
On December 28, a crash involving a 1992 Cozy Cub fixed-wing aircraft occurred in Parsons, Kansas, near 1502 21000 Road. The accident took place at approximately 1:25 PM when the aircraft, attempting to land on a private grass strip, struck a power line during its approach. The impact caused the aircraft to nose-dive into the ground.
The pilot, 26-year-old Michael R. Ribordy of New Strawn, Kansas, was transported to Labette County Health with suspected serious injuries. He was wearing a safety restraint at the time of the crash. No information has been provided regarding Ribordy’s condition following the incident.
