Wamego boys golf is your 4A State Champions! In Winfield, the Red Raiders rallied from a 7-shot first-day deficit to win by two strokes over Independence and three over Bishop Miege. Wamego shot a 639 for the two-day tournament.

Individually, juniors Talon White, Cash Foltz and Spencer Hecht finished in 7th, 8th and tied for 10th respectively.

The 2022-2023 school year was a very successful one for Wamego golf. As the girls team won the 4A state title back in October. Beating 2nd place Winfield by 88 strokes.

At 6A State in Newton, the Manhattan boys finished in 6th as a team. Finishing the two-day tournament 25 strokes behind first place Shawnee Mission East. Freshman Jackson Powers finishing tied for 10th at even-par. Sophomore Tate Reid tied for 21st at 4-over.

At the Sand Greens tourmanet in Leonardville, the Riley County Falcons finished in 4th place. Senior Connor Verge tied for 9th place at 16-over. Downs-Lakeside ran away with the tournament. Winning by 25 strokes ahead of 2nd place Beloit-St. John’s.
