Two teachers have been nominated at Manhattan-Odgen USD 383 for 2023 Kansas Teacher of the Year
Manhattan-Ogden announced Lindsey Umscheid and Emily Yeager as nominees. Umscheid is a 1st grade teacher at Frank V. Bergman Elementary School. She earned her B.S in Elementary Education from Kansas State University in 2005. She has been with USD 383 school distract for 9 years.
Emily Yeager teaches 7th grade Language Arts at Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School. Yeager earned her B.S in Secondary Education from Kansas State University in 2010 and continued on to earn her Masters in Educational Leaderships from K-State as well. She has been with the district for 6 years.
Kansas Teacher of the year program identifies, recognizes and utilizes representatives of excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms of the state.
