Officers filed a report for aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property in Manhattan on Sept. 26, 2025 at approximately 3:32 a.m. A 29-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a 26-year-old man was listed as the suspect. William Avila, 26, of Manhattan, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property at 4:34 a.m. in Manhattan. Avila was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Amanda Harding, 43, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 25 at approximately 10:19 p.m. in the 1400 block of Flint Hills Place on a Clay County District Court warrant for criminal threat, criminal false communication and disorderly conduct. Harding was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property in the 200 block of 5^th Street on Sept. 25 at approximately 6:17 p.m. A 42-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect damaged her daughter’s cello on a school bus. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,000. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Mark Brady Jr., 34, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 25 at approximately 3:18 p.m. in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of aggravated assault. Brady was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of theft in the 600 block of Seth Child Road on Sept. 25 at approximately 10:17 a.m. Home Depot was listed as the victim when it was reported a known 46-year-old woman stole power tools. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $3,611.55.
