<p data-start="137" data-end="338">A Fort Riley man was arrested late Wednesday on a Riley County District Court warrant stemming from a domestic incident earlier this year, according to the Riley County Police Department.</p>
<p data-start="340" data-end="538">Vladimir Tamayo, 35, of Fort Riley, was taken into custody Oct. 1 around 11 p.m. at Fort Riley. The warrant listed charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery and criminal threat.</p>
<p data-start="540" data-end="712">Police said the arrest is connected to a report originally filed in July. Tamayo was issued a total bond of $6,000 and has since been released from the Riley County Jail.</p>

<p data-start="252" data-end="537">Officers filed the report Oct. 1 around 9:04 a.m. in the 500 block of Fort Riley Boulevard. Police said Carpet One and Kansas State Bank were listed as victims after an unknown suspect allegedly stole a business check and deposited it. The total loss was estimated at $1,990.</p>

<p data-start="116" data-end="293">A Junction City woman was injured Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash at Westwood Road and Fort Riley Boulevard, according to the Riley County Police Department.</p>
<p data-start="295" data-end="507">Officers responded to the collision Sept. 26 around 5:27 p.m. Police said a Mazda RX-8 driven by Andrew Depuy, 28, of Manhattan, collided with a Toyota RAV4 driven by Jeremy Riley, 44, of Junction City.</p>
<p data-start="509" data-end="744">A passenger in the Toyota, Jessica Riley, 38, of Junction City, was transported to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of her injuries. A child, Ayden Depuy, 7, of Manhattan, was also in the Mazda but was not reported injured.</p>
<p data-start="746" data-end="828">Jeremy Riley was cited for failing to yield the right of way at an intersection.</p>

<p>Officers responded to a report of an injury crash in the 9600 block of Anderson Ave., in Riley on Sept. 28, 2025 at approximately 8:39 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 2005 GMC Sierra 3500 driven by Carson Avery, 35, of Riley, had lost control after a dust cloud and wound up in a culvert. Avery was transported to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of his injuries.</p>
<p>Officers filed a report of aggravated battery, violation of a protection order, criminal damage to property and criminal trespass in Ogden on Sept. 28 at approximately 3:58 a.m. A 21-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman were both listed as suspects and victims in the report. Janaya Scott, 21, of Ogden, was arrested for criminal damage to property at 7:04 a.m. in Ogden. Scott was issued a total bond of $2,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail. Nevaeh Wilson, 20, of Ogden, was arrested for aggravated battery, violation of a protection order, criminal damage to property and criminal trespass at 4:09 a.m. in Ogden. Wilson was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.</p>
<p>Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property in the 1000 block of Sunset Ave., on Sept. 28 at approximately 2:14 a.m. Listed victims included three 18-year-old men when it was reported their vehicles were egged by an unknown suspect. The vehicles damaged include a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, a 2017 Ford Edge and a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta. <p>Officers filed a report of criminal discharge of a firearm in the 1100 block of Moro in Manhattan, on Sept. 28 at approximately 1:43 a.m. Emoni Ruffins, 36, of Junction City, was arrested for criminal discharge of a firearm at approximately 5:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of Moro. Ruffins was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.</p>
<p>Scott Habluetzel, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 27 at approximately 11:30 p.m. near Fair Lane and Juliette Ave. on a Kansas Department of Corrections warrant for probation violation. He was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.</p>
<p>Officers filed a report of vehicle theft Manhattan on Sept. 27 at approximately 1:45 p.m. A 19-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported a known 30-year-old suspect stole a rented 2012 Toyota Camry. The estimated total loss associated with this case is $6,000.</p>
<p>Officers filed a report of forgery in the 200 block of Johnson Road on Sept. 27 at approximately 12:54 p.m. Mid America Piano was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect forged a business check. <p>Officers filed a report of criminal threat in the 1600 block of Leavenworth St. on Sept. 27 at approximately 8:34 a.m. Koltyn Moore, 30, of Manhattan, was arrested for criminal threat at approximately 9:04 a.m. in the 1600 block of Leavenworth St. Moore was issued a total bond of $7,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.</p>
<p>Officers filed a report for aggravated assault in Manhattan on Sept. 27 at approximately 2:38 a.m. A 21-year-old man was listed as the victim, while a known 27-year-old woman and 19-year-old woman were listed as suspects.</p>
<p>Osvaldo Bigas, 22, of Junction City, was arrested on Sept. 27 at approximately 2:10 a.m. in the 1100 block of Moro on a Geary County District Court warrant for probation violation. Bigas was issued no bond and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.</p>

<p>Officers filed a report of two counts of sexual battery and one count of interference with a law enforcement officer in the 300 block of Poyntz Ave. on Sept. 27 at approximately 12:43 a.m. Bryan Mosley, 34, of Manhattan, was arrested on two counts of sexual battery and one count of interference with a law enforcement officer at approximately 12:56 a.m. Mosley was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.</p>
<p>Officers responded to a scene of an accident near the 200 block of Fort Riley Blvd., on Sept. 26 at approximately 8:48 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a Ford Ranger was involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident driven by an unknown driver. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. <p>Officers responded to a report of an injury crash at the intersection of Westwood Road and Fort Riley Blvd., on Sept. 26 at approximately 5:27 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a Mazda RX-8 driven by Andrew Depuy, 28, of Manhattan had crashed into a Toyota Rav4 driven by Jeremy Riley, 44, of Junction City. Additional passengers included Jessica Riley, 38, of Junction City, in the Toyota and Ayden Depuy, 7, of Manhattan, in the Mazda. Jessica Riley was transported to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Jeremy Riley was issued a citation for failing to yield right of way at an intersection.</p>

<p data-start="141" data-end="295">Riley County Police logged more than two dozen incidents and six arrests between Friday and early Saturday, according to department reports.</p>
<p data-start="297" data-end="733">Among the calls, officers responded to two injury crashes Friday evening — one at Westwood Road and Fort Riley Boulevard and another in the 200 block of Fort Riley Boulevard. Police also investigated drug violations at the Evergreen Apartments on Garden Way and on Casement Road, along with forgery at Mid America Piano, larcenies at Hy-Vee and other locations, and several domestic-related calls.</p>
<p data-start="735" data-end="1167">Six people were arrested during the same reporting period. They included Bryan Anthony Mosley, 34, of Manhattan, who was booked on suspicion of sexual battery and interference with law enforcement after being arrested at Finn’s Pub. Osvaldo Omar Bigas, 22, of Junction City, was arrested on a probation violation warrant, while Chase David Ferguson, 26, of Fort Riley, was jailed for interference with law enforcement.</p>
<p data-start="1169" data-end="1457">Also arrested were Alexis Sanchez Santiaguez, 23, of Manhattan, for DUI; Teiana Lashay Cooper, 24, of Junction City, on a failure-to-appear warrant; and Juston Marvin Staley, 42, of Manhattan, for criminal trespass and failure to appear</p>

<p>John Swartz, 54, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 13, 2025 at approximately 4:28 p.m. in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road in Manhattan on a Pottawatomie County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Swartz was issued no bond and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.</p>
<p>Maurice McGee, 45, of Ogden, was arrested on Sept. 12 at approximately 4:48 p.m., in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road on a Hinds County (Miss.) District Court warrant on the uniform criminal extradition act. McGee was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.</p>
<p>Officers responded to the report of an injury accident near the intersection of Main Street and Madison Road in Riley on Sept. 12, at approximately 12:18 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 2012 Chevy Traverse driven by Lesa Heiman, 34, of Riley, had struck a 2024 Ford F-250 driven by Miguel Mercado-Soto, 35, of Clay Center. Heiman was transported to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. Heiman was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way at a stop sign.</p>
<p>Officers filed a report for aggravated criminal sodomy and sexual battery in Manhattan on Sept. 12 at approximately 10:27 a.m. An 18-year-old man was listed as the victim and a 28-year-old man known to him was listed as the suspect. Due the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.</p>

<p data-start="133" data-end="274">A Manhattan man was arrested Thursday afternoon on a probation violation warrant connected to prior theft and burglary charges.</p>
<p data-start="276" data-end="551">Riley County Police said Christopher Campbell, 62, of Manhattan, was taken into custody at about 2:50 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road. The warrant stems from original charges including three counts of theft and two counts of non-residential burglary.</p>
<p data-start="553" data-end="663">Campbell was booked into the Riley County Jail with no bond and remains confined at the time of this report.</p>
