Maurice McGee, 45, of Ogden, was arrested on Sept. 12 at approximately 4:48 p.m., in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road on a Hinds County (Miss.) District Court warrant on the uniform criminal extradition act. McGee was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers responded to the report of an injury accident near the intersection of Main Street and Madison Road in Riley on Sept. 12, at approximately 12:18 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 2012 Chevy Traverse driven by Lesa Heiman, 34, of Riley, had struck a 2024 Ford F-250 driven by Miguel Mercado-Soto, 35, of Clay Center. Heiman was transported to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. Heiman was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way at a stop sign.

Officers filed a report for aggravated criminal sodomy and sexual battery in Manhattan on Sept. 12 at approximately 10:27 a.m. An 18-year-old man was listed as the victim and a 28-year-old man known to him was listed as the suspect. Azucena Duran, 21, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 11, 2025 at approximately 4 p.m. in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road in Manhattan on a Geary County District Court warrant for probation violation. Duran was issued no bond and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Christopher Campbell, 62, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 11 at approximately 2:50 p.m., in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This warrant stems from original charges that include three counts of theft and two counts of non-residential burglary. Campbell was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Kenneth Sanders, 38, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 11 at approximately 1:42 p.m., in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road for six counts of violating the offender registration act, two counts of aggravated violation of the offender registration act and two counts of perjury. This arrest stems from a report filed in August 2025. Sanders was issued a total bond of $100,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

A 61-year-old woman, two 34-year-old men, a 53-year-old woman, a 30-year-old woman, a 36-year-old man and a 3-month-old male were listed as victims. An 83-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Allen Frazier, 83, of Manhattan, was arrested for five counts of aggravated assault, one count of interference with a law enforcement officer and one count of aggravated endangering of a child on Sept. 9 at approximately 5:37 p.m. Frazier was issued a total bond of $30,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for vehicle theft in the 600 block of Bluemont Avenue in Manhattan, on Sept. 9 at approximately 10:40 a.m. A 35-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole her 2013 Acura. During the investigation, officers were able to recover the vehicle and identified a 37-year-old woman as the suspect. Sarah Way, 37, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 9, at approximately 12:28 p.m., for theft of property or services. Way was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Riley County Police have taken a third individual into custody in connection to a July robbery and battery incident.

Alexander Anderson, 20, was arrested Wednesday evening in the 4400 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and interference with a law enforcement officer. He remains jailed on a $100,000 bond.

His arrest comes one day after police took another suspect, 29-year-old Andre Chislum into custody on similar charges in connection to the same incident.

Last week, police arrested 19-year-old Chase Meinholdt on charges of attempted first-degree murder in addition to aggravated robbery and battery and other charges. He was jailed on a $305,000 bond. An RCPD representative said the charges stem from a July 25 incident involving a 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man.
