<p>The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce asked Riley County officials to slow down in its Reinvestment Housing Incentive District policy Thursday.</p>
<p>RHID is a program that reimburses developers for property tax increases, enabling them to build housing.</p>

<p>“Slow down, either table it or delay it so you have the opportunity to hear from other interested stakeholders in the city and the county so that you have heard other voices that this policy will impact,” said Tom Phillips, chairman of the chamber’s business advocacy committee.</p>
