Jordan Zimmerman, 27, of Manhattan, was arrested on August 28, 2025, at approximately 1:04 p.m., in the 1100 block of Bluemont Ave., in Manhattan, on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This warrant stems from an original charge of residential burglary. Zimmerman was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Rontavius Banks, 29, of Ogden, was arrested on August 28, 2025, at approximately 11:55 a.m., in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road in Manhattan, on a Geary County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Banks was issued no bond and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Officers executed a search warrant on August 27, 2025, at approximately 3:55 p.m., in the 3700 block of Saddle Horn Trail in Ogden. The results of the search warrant led to the arrest of Marquies Collins, 35, of Ogden, at approximately 9:08 p.m., for cruelty to animals. Collins was issued a total bond of $1,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on July 14, 2025, at approximately 8:47 p.m. A 58-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a 43-year-old man known to her was listed as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional details will be released.

The RCPD released its latest reports, detailing a range of criminal activity in Manhattan over the weekend of July 12–13.

Among the most serious incidents were multiple arrests related to domestic violence. On July 12, officers responded to a domestic battery and aggravated domestic battery case at The Links Apartments on Augusta Way. Eighteen-year-old Malachi Kahssay was arrested for allegedly choking a family member, while 19-year-old Alexander Anderson was also arrested in connection to the same case. Additionally, 46-year-old Jose Mendes Montes was arrested later that evening for domestic battery and criminal restraint following a separate incident on Gatlinburg Way.

Other notable arrests included 33-year-old Mykal Crawley, charged with aggravated battery after reportedly causing serious bodily harm, and 36-year-old James LeBeuf of Topeka, who was arrested for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia near Saint Isidore Catholic Church.

Officers arrested 52-year-old Vernita Campbell for DUI and interference with law enforcement, while several others were taken into custody for failure to appear in court. In one case, 38-year-old Sarah Sessin was arrested on Pottawatomie Court for interfering with law enforcement and failing to appear.

Police activity also included reports of open container violations, resisting arrest, and violations of court orders. Officers responded to 13 incidents in total, ranging from batteries and domestic disturbances to traffic violations and found property.

The Riley County Police Department responded to a series of incidents in Manhattan over the past few days, including injury accidents, drug-related offenses, and domestic disturbances.

Among the notable cases, officers arrested 26-year-old Nathan Eugene Miller Ayalla of Manhattan twice on July 11. His first arrest occurred early in the morning for aggravated burglary, domestic battery, and criminal damage to property, resulting in a $15,000 bond. Later that same day, he was arrested again for possession of marijuana. In separate arrests, 39-year-old David Louis Rojas of Neodesha was taken into custody on a shoplifting warrant, and 38-year-old Brian Odell LaCamera of Linn was arrested for failure to appear.

Police also handled 19 incident reports ranging from injury accidents and battery to drug violations and domestic calls. One battery incident occurred at Dirty Dawgs Saloon in the early hours of July 12, and officers responded to several drug-related cases across various parts of the city, including near Flint Hills Job Corp and one on Anderson Ave.

Brian Havens, 46, of Manhattan was arrested on April 14, 2025, at approximately 10:38 p.m. in the 800 block of Glenstone Circle, on a Riley County District Court warrant for Failure to Appear. The original charge of the warrant was for Possession of Methamphetamine. Havens remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $20,000.

Jeremy Barker, 45, of Manhattan was arrested on April 14, 2025, at approximately 4:56 p.m. at 1001 S. Seth Child Road, on a Morris County District Court warrant for Probation Violation. Barker remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $15,000.

Officers filed a report for forgery, attempted unlawful obtaining a prescription drug and identity theft in the 500 block of 3^rd Pl in Manhattan on April 1, 2025, at approximately 3:26 p.m. A 30-year-old woman and a 50-year-old woman were listed as the victims when it was reported a 35-year-old woman used the victim’s information to attempt to obtain a prescription drug. Marijke Torres, 35, of Manhattan was arrested for attempted unlawful obtaining a prescription drug, forgery and 3 counts of identity theft. Torres was issued a total bond of $14,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1000 block of Cassidy Dr. in Manhattan on April 1, 2025 at approximately 5:48 p.m.  A 36-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect damaged the tires on her vehicle. Karen Gomez Parra, 28, of Manhattan was arrested on April 1, 2025, at approximately 4:38 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated battery and battery. Gomez Parra was issued a total bond of $20,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
