A Junction City woman was injured Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash at Westwood Road and Fort Riley Boulevard, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Officers responded to the collision Sept. 26 around 5:27 p.m. Police said a Mazda RX-8 driven by Andrew Depuy, 28, of Manhattan, collided with a Toyota RAV4 driven by Jeremy Riley, 44, of Junction City.

A passenger in the Toyota, Jessica Riley, 38, of Junction City, was transported to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of her injuries. A child, Ayden Depuy, 7, of Manhattan, was also in the Mazda but was not reported injured.

Jeremy Riley was cited for failing to yield the right of way at an intersection.

Two people escaped serious injury when a car and pickup collided at a busy Manhattan intersection Wednesday evening.

According to the Riley County Police Department, it happened shortly before 5:30 pm at Tuttle Creek Blvd and Kimball Ave. when a passenger car driven by Deanna Nelson, of Riley, struck a pickup driven by Craig Carlson, of Manhattan, causing the pickup to roll onto its side.

Police say two people inside the truck became entrapped but didn’t require medical transport from the scene. Further details about the crash weren’t immediately available.
