<p data-start="85" data-end="271">A 63-year-old Ogden man has been arrested on multiple felony charges, including aggravated human trafficking, rape and drug distribution, according to the Riley County Police Department.</p>
<p data-start="273" data-end="394">Luke Maurice Johnson Sr., 63, was arrested at approximately 3:42 p.m. June 2 in the 300 block of Twelfth Street in Ogden.</p>
<p data-start="396" data-end="902">Johnson was arrested on three counts of aggravated human trafficking; one count of distributing material containing fentanyl, 50 to 250 dosage units, within 1,000 feet of a school; one count of distributing an opiate, narcotic, stimulant or heroin within 1,000 feet of a school; two counts of rape involving a victim alleged to be mentally deficient or incapable of consent due to the effects of alcohol, narcotics, drugs or other substances; one count of domestic battery; and one count of sexual battery.</p>
<p data-start="904" data-end="1004">Victims listed in the case include a 29-year-old woman, a 28-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman.</p>
<p data-start="1006" data-end="1089">According to RCPD, the arrest stems from reports originally filed in 2023 and 2026.</p>
<p data-start="1091" data-end="1183">Johnson was issued a total bond of $2 million and remains confined in the Riley County Jail.</p>
<p data-start="1185" data-end="1323">Due to the nature of some of the alleged crimes, no further information is being released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.</p>

<p>An Ogden man pleaded not guilty Monday in Riley County District Court to a slew of charges including first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery.</p>
<p>Cordarius Devonte Maurice Gowdy, 24, entered not guilty pleas to Judge Grant Bannister for the premeditated killing of Tannon Ratcliffe as well as killing Ratcliffe while criminally discharging a firearm. He also pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated battery against Andrew Graves and Cade Perkins, criminal discharge of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.</p>

<p data-start="440" data-end="565">A 59-year-old woman was listed as the victim after it was reported a known 41-year-old man stole money from her bank account.</p>

<p data-start="58" data-end="189">An Ogden woman was arrested Friday evening in connection with a case reported earlier this year involving crimes against a child.</p>
<p data-start="191" data-end="486">Riley County Police say Jessica Miller, 43, of Ogden, was taken into custody at approximately 5:04 p.m. Jan. 30, 2026. Miller faces charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and six counts of sexual exploitation of a child. The arrest stems from a report filed in January 2025.</p>
<p data-start="488" data-end="608" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">Miller was issued a total bond of $225,000 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.</p>

<p data-start="218" data-end="641">Riley County Police say 21-year-old Jessica Urbina of Manhattan was arrested around 5:53 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 300 block of Twelfth Street on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. The warrant stems from original charges of possession of fentanyl, hydrocodone and drug paraphernalia. Urbina was issued a total bond of $15,000 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.</p>
<p data-start="643" data-end="1023">Earlier that evening, officers executed a search warrant at approximately 5:36 p.m. at the same location. As a result of the search, 63-year-old Luke Johnson of Ogden was arrested around 5:48 p.m. on charges of use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, interference with a law enforcement officer and possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant.</p>
<p data-start="1025" data-end="1141" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">Johnson was issued a total bond of $12,000 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.</p>

<p data-start="206" data-end="448">Riley County Police say the original report was filed July 27 around 2:12 p.m. in the 200 block of South Seth Child Road. The case involved criminal use of a financial card, theft of property or services and multiple computer unlawful acts.</p>
<p data-start="450" data-end="701">On Nov. 18, officers arrested 28-year-old David DeJesus Roman in the 1000 block of South Seth Child Road. He faces seven counts of computer unlawful acts, six counts of criminal use of a financial card and one count of theft of property or services.</p>
<p data-start="703" data-end="825" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">DeJesus Roman was issued a total bond of $28,000 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.</p>

<p data-start="218" data-end="354">Two Manhattan area women were seriously injured Saturday night after their vehicle struck a deer on I-70 in Shawnee County.</p>
<p data-start="218" data-end="354">According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 71-year-old Phyllis Trudell of St. George was driving westbound near Carlson Road around 11:15 p.m. when her car hit a deer and overturned several times.</p>
<p data-start="561" data-end="701">Both Trudell and her passenger, 66-year-old Susan Cherry of Ogden, were taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka with serious injuries.</p>
<p data-start="703" data-end="783">Troopers say both women were wearing seatbelts.</p>
