The RCPD responded to a variety of incidents over the weekend, including multiple arrests, an animal bite, battery cases, and an unattended death.

One of the arrests occurred early Sunday morning when officers took 23-year-old Kaiden Michael Burton of Wamego into custody in the 1000 block of Kearney Street. Burton was arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer during an encounter that began just after midnight. He was also booked on a parole violation warrant, with a total bond set at $2,000. In a separate incident, 30-year-old Aspeen Daiquan Markee Carlton of Ogden was arrested by the Kansas Highway Patrol on K-18 around 1:50 a.m. Sunday for driving under the influence, transporting an open container, and speeding. His bond was set at $750.

Other weekend activity included the arrest of 33-year-old Storm Jamion Lee Roudybush of Manhattan, who was taken into custody Saturday evening on a failure to appear warrant following a welfare check at Stone Crest Court.

Among the incidents logged by RCPD were three non-injury accidents, two larceny reports, an animal bite in Riley, and three separate battery reports—one of which occurred at Colorado Plaza Apartments and another at a residence in Ogden. Police also responded to a report of an unattended death Saturday afternoon in the 400 block of Walters Drive in Manhattan.

Kevin Marinella, 20, of Ogden, was arrested on February 17, 2025, at approximately 4:17 PM in the 100 block of S. Elm Street. Marinella was taken into custody on multiple charges, including three counts of aggravated violation of the offender registration act, three counts of violation of the offender registration act, and four counts of perjury.

His bond was set at $50,000, and he was confined at the time of the report.

Kody Nations, 31, of Ogden, was arrested on February 13, 2025, at approximately 1:45 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road.  Nations was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for burglary, theft of property or services, criminal damage to property, and criminal trespass. Total bond was set at $10,000. Nations was confined at the time of this report.

Michael Miller, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested on February 13, 2025, at approximately 8:46 PM in the 2200 block of College Ave.  Miller was arrested on the probable cause offense of breach of privacy. Total bond was set at $8,000. Miller was confined at the time of this report.

Eva Cleary, 20, of Ogden, was arrested on January 15, 2025, at approximately 11:12 PM at the corner of N. Elm Street and Riley Ave.  Cleary was arrested on the probable cause offenses of driving while a habitual violator- 2nd conviction and driving while suspended – 3rd or subsequent conviction. Total bond was set at $5,000. Cleary was confined at the time of this report.
