An investigation is underway after shots were fired over the weekend in the 2200 block of College Avenue.

According to the Riley County Police Department, a report for criminal discharge of a firearm was filed in the early morning hours Sunday at the apartment complex. Officers listed two men, aged 21 and 22 as the suspects, but have released no further information.

Police say the incident is part of an ongoing investigation.

Clayson Creed Joyce, 22, faces reduced charges after Riley County District Court Judge Jeremy Larchick decreased the initial 12 counts of attempted first-degree murder to three counts during Joyce’s first appearance Friday.

Joyce also is charged with two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm, three counts of aggravated battery, seven counts of aggravated child child endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and criminal damage to property.

In a separate case also addressed Friday, Joyce faces a charge of domestic battery, to which he pleaded not guilty.
