The RCPD responded to a series of incidents across Manhattan on Saturday, July 26, including multiple thefts, domestic disturbances, and two arrests.

Officers investigated several larceny cases throughout the day, including a reported theft at Dara’s Fast Lane on Claflin Road, another at Casey’s General Store on Fort Riley Boulevard, and a past vehicle-related theft at the Fairfield Inn on Colorado Street. A separate theft was also reported at the Walmart on Bluemont Avenue.

Police also responded to two domestic incidents, one of which occurred at Robinson Education Center on Poyntz Avenue, and another reported at a separate, unspecified location. An intimidation case and additional reports related to information, accidents, and officer contacts were also documented.

Two individuals were arrested. Deonta Antrel Thompson, 25, of Wichita, was taken into custody just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Moro Street on a failure to appear warrant, with bond set at $2,000. In a separate case, 29-year-old Nathan Christopher Bell of Manhattan was arrested around 5:20 p.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of Blaker Drive. Bell faces charges of criminal deprivation of property and interference with law enforcement. His bond was set at $4,000.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 500 block of Pilsbury Dr. in Manhattan on June 9, 2025, at approximately 7:48 a.m. Energy Center Manhattan Pool was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took their dump trailer. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $18,000. At approximately 8:05 p.m., the trailer was recovered in Jackson County Missouri. Officers filed a report for theft in the 2300 block of Sky-vue Ln. in Manhattan on June 9, 2025, at approximately 8:31 a.m. Flint Hills Breadbasket was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took their gray 2003 Ford F-250 truck. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $5,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft in the 3200 block of Kimball  Ave. in Manhattan on June 9, 2025, at approximately 10:29 a.m. Prairie Stone Inc. was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took their mini skid steer. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $20,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 4600 block of Eureka Dr. in Manhattan on June 9, 2025, at approximately 11:43 a.m. Officers listed the Department of Labor as the victim when it was reported a 37-year-old man took multiple power tools, a radio and a Lenovo computer. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $10,000.

Kamryn Machor, 17, of Manhattan was arrested on June 9, 2025, at approximately 1:25 p.m. Machor was issued no bond and remains confined at the North Central Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center at the time of this report. This arrest was in connection to a report filed for aggravated robbery in the 1500 block of Pipher Ln. in Manhattan on April 11, 2025. A 16-year-old male was listed as the victim and a 17-year-old female, a 17-year-old male, a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old female were listed as the suspects. The victim reported the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim and took items from him. This is an ongoing investigation and no additional information will be released at this time.

Braden Dinkel, 21, of Manhattan was arrested on June 9, 2025, at approximately 5:53 p.m. for a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated battery. Dinkel was issued a total bond of $25,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
