Authorities are investigating a residential burglary reported Wednesday morning in the 2700 block of Heartland Valley Road.

According to the Riley County Police Department, officers responded at approximately 9:21 a.m. on Oct. 9 after a 58-year-old man reported that an unknown suspect entered his home and stole multiple items, including watches, clothing and other valuables.

The estimated loss is approximately $50,000.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the RCPD or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Tips submitted to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Riley County Police are investigating a burglary reported Wednesday morning in central Manhattan.

Officers filed the report around 10:37 a.m. in the 1200 block of Poyntz Avenue. Police said a 73-year-old man reported that an unknown suspect entered his building and stole copper. The loss is estimated at $1,550.

Authorities ask anyone with information to contact RCPD or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Tipsters using Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Micah Brandon Egan, 26, of Manhattan was arrested on June 17, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m. on his Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from an original charge of driving while suspended. Egan was issued a total bond of $6,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for burglary in the 15800 block of Green-Randolph Rd. in Randolph on June 17, 2025, at approximately 9:58 a.m. Alert Covenant Church was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took cash and electronic equipment. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $4,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1600 block of Fort Riley Blvd. in Manhattan on June 17, 2025, at approximately 8:33 p.m. Crunch Bear Market was listed as the victim and a 41-year-old female was listed as the suspect when it was reported the suspect turned off power to the business which damaged multiple items. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $20,000.

Angel Morgan, 40, of Manhattan was arrested on a Geary County District Court warrant for distribute heroin/certain stimulants/fentanyl, distribute opiates/opium/narcotics/stimulant, and use communication facility in the commission of a felony drug violation. Morgan was issued a total bond of $100,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
