A Clay Center man pleaded guilty to all charges, including aggravated battery while driving under the influence, in court Monday morning.

Tucker Lamore, 22, appeared in Riley County District Court before Judge John Bosch to enter a guilty plea for charges of aggravated battery while driving under the influence, three counts of battery and driving under the influence. Lamore and his attorney, Michael Hawthorne, reached a plea deal with the state, represented by assistant Riley County attorney John Griffin to lower the recommended sentencing for the charges.

Bosch asked Lamore to recount the events on July 26, 2024, that lead to his charges. In his statement to the court, Lamore said after consuming too much alcohol he decided to drive to Riley County from his home town.

When leaving Riley on a gravel road, he was “too intoxicated to control the vehicle,” and ended up in a field, injuring the four passengers in his vehicle.

A St. George man is jailed in Riley County, accused of rape and kidnapping.

Riley County Police arrested 30-year-old Ricky Dunklin on Friday on a warrant charging him with single counts of rape and aggravated charges of criminal sodomy, kidnapping and domestic battery as well as failure to appear. Bond was set at $125,000.

An online criminal complaint filed in January alleges Dunklin committed the crimes in April 2021.

Court records show Dunklin made his first court appearance on Monday and is scheduled for a 1 p.m. preliminary hearing on April 8.
