An 83-year-old Manhattan man arrested Tuesday who was charged with multiple counts now faces just one charge of interference with law enforcement in Riley County District Court.

Allen Steve Frazier made his first court appearance Wednesday. In a document filed with the court by Deputy Riley County Attorney David Lowden, Frazier is no longer facing the five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of endangering a child that he was also charged with upon his arrest.

Frazier was arrested at Via Christi Hospital, and he is held in the Riley County Jail on a reduced bond of $3,000.

Alexander Anderson, 20, of Manhattan, was arrested on September 3, 2025, at approximately 7:02 p.m., in the 4400 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd., in Manhattan for aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and interference with a law enforcement officer. These charges stem from a report filed in July 2025. Anderson was issued a total bond of $100,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

John Wallace, 23, of Lawrence, was arrested on September 3, 2025, at approximately 1:10 p.m., in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road in Manhattan on a Douglas County District Court warrant for one count of criminal threat and one count of battery. Wallace was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Malachi Fielder, 21, of Manhattan, was arrested on September 3, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m., in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road in Manhattan on a Kansas Department of Corrections warrant for probation violation. Fielder was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of burglary in the 1200 block of Poyntz Ave., in Manhattan, on September 3, 2025, at approximately 10:37 a.m. A 73-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect entered his building and stole copper. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,550.
