A Fort Riley man was arrested late Wednesday on a Riley County District Court warrant stemming from a domestic incident earlier this year, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Vladimir Tamayo, 35, of Fort Riley, was taken into custody Oct. 1 around 11 p.m. at Fort Riley. The warrant listed charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery and criminal threat.

Police said the arrest is connected to a report originally filed in July. Tamayo was issued a total bond of $6,000 and has since been released from the Riley County Jail.

The Riley County Police Department responded to a series of incidents throughout Manhattan on Friday, July 18, resulting in ten arrests on a variety of charges.

In the early hours of the morning, officers were called to the 1100 block of Moro Street for a reported fight. Two individuals, 20-year-old Edwin Wesley Daniels Jr. of Fort Riley and 27-year-old Sean Reeves Mahoney of Seneca, were arrested at the scene for disorderly conduct related to brawling or fighting. Both were issued a $500 bond.

Later in the evening, another arrest occurred when officers took 23-year-old Mason Clay Moon of Manhattan into custody after a pursuit on Claflin Road. Moon faces a string of felony charges including aggravated endangering of a child, aggravated battery with a weapon, DUI (third offense within 10 years), failure to stop at an accident involving damage over $1,000, and fleeing law enforcement. His bond was set at $50,000.

At around 6:43 p.m., 20-year-old Cameron Michael Sumpter of Manhattan was arrested for driving under the influence near North 14th Street and Anderson Avenue. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Caleb Alexander Harris of Wichita was taken into custody on charges of aggravated escape from custody and probation violation. His bond was set at $60,000.

In separate incidents, Kamron Diaz Tucker, 23, of Lawrence was arrested on a warrant for aggravated battery with a $5,000 bond, and David DeJesus Roman, 28, of Ogden was taken into custody for failure to appear. Officers also arrested Reese Dekota Williston at the Be Able Community Center and Nicholas Caesar Chavez at the Riley County Jail, both on warrant-related charges.

Additionally, 29-year-old Keith Allen Rea of Junction City was arrested for violating a protection order and aggravated burglary. His bond was set at $15,000.

In total, RCPD responded to 19 reported incidents for the day, including multiple non-injury crashes, warrant pickups, a DUI, domestic disturbances, and a reported sex offense. Several investigations remain ongoing.

Jonathan Pasko, 23, of Fort Riley was arrested on April 11th on a warrant.  The charges were listed as Aggravated Battery, Criminal Damage to Property and Intimidation of witness or victim.  Total bond was $12,000.  At the time of this report Pasko was no longer confined.

Evin Griffith, 23, of Manhattan was arrested on April 11th on a warrant.  The charges were listed as Aggravated Battery, Criminal Damage to Property and Intimidation of witness or victim.  Total bond was $10,000.  At the time of this report Griffith was no longer confined.

Kayla Tran, 27, of Manhattan was arrested on April 11th on a warrant. The charges were listed as Aggravated Battery and Intimidation of witness or victim.  Total bond was $10,000.  At the time of this report Tran was no longer confined.

Jamil Shelton, 19, of Manhattan was arrested on April 12th on a warrant.  The charge was listed as theft.  Bond was $5,000. At the time of this report Shelton was no longer confined.

Amari Gross, 22, of Fort Riley, was arrested on March 9, 2025, at approximately 12:24 AM in the 1100 block of Moro Street. Gross was taken into custody on charges including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm while under the influence, and disorderly conduct.

His total bond was set at $15,000, and he was confined at the time of the report.
