Officers in Riley County have arrested a local man for failure to appear in court for a preliminary evaluation.

Police arrested Anthony Sutton, 42, of Manhattan on Wednesday evening at approximately 7:30 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for failing to appear in court. The charge stems from a Sept. 25, 2024 arrest where Sutton was charged with aggravated assault with the use of a deadly weapon.

Sutton’s bond in this case has been set at $25,000. He remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Anthony Sutton, 42, of Manhattan, was arrested on January 22, 2025, at approximately 7:30 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road.  Sutton was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear.  The original charge was for aggravated assault. Total bond was set at $25,000. Sutton was confined at the time of this report.
