Officers filed a report for aggravated burglary and violation of a protection order in Ogden on July 17, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m. A 33-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a 29-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Keith Rea, 29, of Junction City, KS was arrested for violation of a protection order and aggravated burglary. Rea was issued a total bond of $15,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 900 block of Moro St in Manhattan on July 18, 2025, at approximately 7:14 a.m. A 21-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took his 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $6,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Nicholas Chavez, 23, of Manhattan was arrested on July 18, 2025, at approximately 1:36 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from an original offense of interference with law enforcement and two counts of battery of law enforcement. Chavez was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on July 18, 2025, at approximately 3:43 p.m. A 17-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a 19-year-old man known to her was listed as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.

Caleb Harris, 23, of Wichita, KS was arrested on July 18, 2025, at approximately 5:23 p.m. on two Sedgwick County District Court warrants for aggravated escape from custody and probation violation. Harris was issued a total bond of $60,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for aggravated battery, aggravated endangering a child, driving under the influence; 3^rd conviction, flee or attempt to elude, driving while license cancelled/suspended/revoked, and failure to stop at accident. A 2-year-old girl, and two 1-year-old boys were listed as the victims and a 23-year-old man was listed as the suspect when it was reported the suspect operated a vehicle while intoxicated, fled from police, crashed the vehicle then fled the area. Mason Moon, 23, of Manhattan was arrested for three counts of aggravated battery, three counts of aggravated endangering a child, driving under the influence; 3^rd conviction, flee or attempt to elude, and failure to stop at accident. Moon was issued a total bond of $50,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Kamron Tucker, 23, of Lawrence, KS was arrested on July 18, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated battery. This stems from an original report filed on March 26, 2025. Tucker was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for theft and criminal damage to property in the 1200 block of Kearney in Manhattan on July 20, 2025, at approximately 1:27 a.m. A 22-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect damaged his bicycle lock and took his Revi Cheetah electric bicycle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,175. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Bryan Painter, 38, of Manhattan was arrested on July 20, 2025, at approximately 10:55 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for four counts of identity theft, two counts of criminal use of a financial card, four counts of unlawful acts with a computer, theft and attempted theft. This warrant stems from reports filed in December 2024 and January 2025. Painter was issued a total bond of $15,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail.

Quindale Jackson, 43, of Kansas City, MO was arrested on July 20, 2025, at approximately 5:53 p.m. on a Miami County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Jackson was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report. Additionally, Jackson was arrested at 7:34 p.m. on a Kiowa County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Jackson was issued a total bond of $1,500 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Keith Via Jr, 24, of Burnsville, MN was arrested on July 20, 2025, at approximately 2:20 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. Via was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

The Riley County Police Department reported six arrests, several traffic-related incidents, and a number of public disturbances across Manhattan in the past 24 hours.

Among those arrested was 19-year-old Connor Kenneth Baer of Manhattan, who was taken into custody at Dirty Dawgs Saloon on charges of criminal damage to property valued between $1,000 and $25,000 and consumption of liquor by a minor. Jonah Michael White, 18, of Wamego, and Cyren Victoria Hearron, 18, of Manhattan, were arrested in separate DUI incidents, both suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Police also arrested 34-year-old Bardarius Nakia Jiles of Fort Riley for disorderly conduct and interference with law enforcement at the Bluemont Scenic Overlook. In another case, Kasiem Tyrone Walker, 33, of Junction City was arrested for violating a protection order at Shop Quik on Scenic Landing. Damond Tirial Russell, 24, of Manhattan, was picked up on a warrant for failure to appear.

Incident reports included an injury accident at 1834 Claflin Road and several non-injury crashes throughout the day, with scenes ranging from Allison Avenue to Tuttle Creek Boulevard. Officers also responded to a stolen vehicle report in the 2300 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard, a fight at Dirty Dawgs Saloon, and a verbal argument near the Bluemont Scenic Overlook sign.

The Riley County Police Department released its latest reports, detailing a busy day of law enforcement activity in Manhattan, Kansas.

Accidents and Incidents
Between March 8 and 9, officers responded to multiple incidents, including a reported injury accident on Zeandale Road early in the morning on March 9. Additionally, several non-injury accidents were logged across the city, including one near Tuttle Creek Boulevard and Marlatt Avenue.

Alcohol-Related Offenses
Police issued 19 citations for minor in possession (MIP) and 65 open container violations, particularly in the  area near Bertrand and Thurston streets. Reports indicate a concentration of these offenses in student-heavy neighborhoods. Officers also made five arrests for driving under the influence (DUI).

Arrests and Criminal Activity
Authorities made 22 arrests over the weekend, ranging from disorderly conduct to more serious offenses. Among the notable incidents:

• A 21-year-old Topeka man was arrested for aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while under the influence near Moro Street. His bond was set at $15,000.
• A 20-year-old Junction City man was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and domestic battery. His bond was set at $21,000.
• Several arrests for DUI, drug possession, and criminal trespass were also reported.
