Officers filed a report for burglary in the 4100 block of Scenic Xing in Manhattan on June 10, 2025, at approximately 11:58 a.m. Ace’s Auto Detailing was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took items from the business. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $4,178. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Gregory Jackson, 41, of Council Bluffs, Iowa was arrested on June 10, 2025, at approximately 6:23 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery. Jackson was issued a total bond of $10,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Quintin Daniels, 20, of Junction City, was arrested on March 8, 2025, at approximately 10:20 PM in the 1100 block of Moro Street. Daniels was taken into custody on several charges, including domestic battery, criminal damage to property, battery on a law enforcement officer (LEO), and interference with an LEO. His total bond for these charges was set at $6,000.

Daniels was later arrested again on the same day at approximately 5:13 AM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. He was charged with battery on an LEO for this second arrest, and his bond for this offense was set at $15,000. Daniels was confined at the time of the report.

A jury found a Manhattan man guilty of aggravated kidnapping and other charges.

After the defense and prosecution rested in Jose Fuentes-Trinidad’s trial, the jury returned Thursday afternoon with a guilty verdict on all charges in Riley County District Court.

Fuentes-Trinidad’s charges included aggravated kidnapping, aggravated residential burglary, two counts of criminal threat against different victims, criminal deprivation of property and two counts of domestic battery, for which he’s been convicted two or more times in the past five years.

The Mercury is not publishing the victims’ names because of the nature of the crimes.

Fuentes-Trinidad will be sentenced at 9 a.m. Feb. 24.
