Bryan Painter, 38, of Manhattan, was arrested on August 3, 2025, at approximately 10:15 p.m. on a Geary County District Court warrant for identity theft and criminal use of a financial card. Painter was issued a told bond of $7,500 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 700 block of Pebblebrook Circle in Manhattan on August 2, 2025, at approximately 1:54 p.m. A 45-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a table.
