Mi Tierra Restaurant and Cantina in Aggieville is permanently closing after two years. On Monday, the owners of the restaurant, Bao Tran and Rebecca Reynaga-Tran, announced in a Facebook post the Mexican restaurant closed its doors.

In the post, the owners explained the cause of the closure was financial, including the aftermath of a house fire at the end of February.

“Rising costs, increasing taxes and the ongoing struggles of still dealing with insurance from our home fire all made it harder to keep things moving forward,” the post read. “While this decision was far from easy, we also believe it opens the door to new opportunities and fresh beginnings ahead.”
