Louder Than Life 2025 is ready to blow the roof off Louisville with its biggest and loudest lineup yet. From September 18-21, over 160 bands will take over six stages at the Highland Festival Grounds for the festival’s 11th edition.

This year’s lineup is nothing short of legendary. Slayer returns to melt faces, while Rob Zombie delivers a global exclusive performance of Astro-Creep: 2000 for its 25th anniversary. Marilyn Manson sets the tone on Thursday, Avenged Sevenfold, Sleep Token, and Breaking Benjamin dominate Friday, Deftones, Bad Omens, and A Perfect Circle take over Saturday, and Sunday wraps up with Bring Me The Horizon, $uicideboy$, and Evanescence.

With Danny Wimmer Presents making this the largest lineup in the festival’s history, Louder Than Life 2025 is set to be an all-out rock and metal takeover.

Corey Taylor & Bad Omens Unite for Haunting ‘Dust in the Wind’ Cover on Queen of the Ring Soundtrack

As the buzz for Queen of the Ring—the electrifying biopic about wrestling icon Mildred Burke— builds, Sumerian Records has unveiled a powerhouse collaboration between Corey Taylor and Bad Omens. Their haunting take on the Kansas classic “Dust in the Wind”, produced by Aaron Gilhuis, sets the tone for the official motion picture soundtrack, dropping March 7 alongside the film.

Written and directed by Ash Avildsen, Queen of the Ring tells the untold story of Mildred Burke, the trailblazing wrestler who defied the odds in the 1930s-50s, becoming the first million-dollar female athlete and headlining arenas against male competitors in an era when women’s wrestling was banned across much of the U.S.

Starring Emily Bett Rickards in a career-defining role as Burke, the film also features Josh Lucas, Walton Goggins, Gavin Casalegno, Tyler Posey, Deborah Ann Woll, and pro wrestling stars Kamille, Toni Storm, Trinity Fatu, and Jim Cornette.

Timed for International Women’s Day weekend, Queen of the Ring isn’t just a film—it’s a tribute to the fearless women who changed history. Get ready to witness wrestling’s greatest underdog story when it hits theaters on March 7.

Bono’s Stories of Surrender Documentary Hits Apple TV+ on May 30

Bono is bringing his life story to the screen with Bono: Stories of Surrender, a new documentary set to premiere on Apple TV+ on May 30. Directed by Andrew Dominik, the film is inspired by the U2 frontman’s 2022 memoir Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story and its accompanying theater tour.

Featuring never-before-seen footage from Bono’s intimate Beacon Theatre performances in NYC, the documentary dives deep into his legendary career and personal journey. But that’s not all—Apple is also dropping Bono: Stories of Surrender (Immersive) on Apple Vision Pro the same day. Filmed in 8K with Spatial Audio, this 180-degree experience places viewers right onstage with Bono, making it the first feature-length film in Apple Immersive Video.

To top it off, an updated paperback edition of Bono’s memoir will launch alongside the film.

Ceiling Tiles Fall During Bad Omens Show in Melbourne Injuring Fans

Chaos struck during Bad Omens’ performance at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Wednesday night (Jan. 22) when parts of the ceiling tiles came crashing down at the end of the set.

The band was performing their hit “Just Pretend,” the penultimate track of the night, when a confetti cannon went off, sending paper shreds into the crowd. But fans got more than they bargained for as chunks of ceiling tiles dislodged and fell, injuring several attendees.

Fan-shot footage below shows a tile falling around the 4:40 mark, accompanied by audible gasps from the crowd. One fan, Sarah, described the terrifying moment: “I was recording on Snapchat when it happened and my video cut as I got hit and my phone flung a meter away from me as I dropped to the ground, I was covered in blood from the girl next to me and she was very out of it, seems as if she was looking at the confetti and it’s [the tile debris] bounced off my hand and got her straight in the face.”

While the band seemed unaware of the incident, Wall of Sound reported soft tissue injuries and other impacts from the falling tiles. The night was unforgettable—for all the wrong reasons.

Rise Against Drop New Song “Nod,” Announce 2025 Tour

Rise Against have returned with “Nod,” their first new song in three years. The powerful track arrives as the band gears up for an extensive 2025 tour, kicking off in the UK and EU before heading stateside for the Rise of the Roach Tour, a co-headlining trek with Papa Roach.

“‘Nod’ is a rally cry and a call to action, fueled by compassion, camaraderie, and the collective urge for change,” says frontman Tim McIlrath. “‘Nod’ is about the solace we find in community. It’s the comfort of knowing we’re not alone. This comfort can temper our anger and our frustration, at least temporarily.”

The track sets the tone for what promises to be a fiery year ahead for the band.

Society 1’s Wild Legacy Explored in New Documentary “Everyone Dies”

Known for their jaw-dropping antics, Society 1 and frontman Matt “The Lord” Zane pushed the boundaries of performance art like few others. Their daring stunts earned them a reputation for taking risks and redefining shock rock.

“No one believes me when I tell them about everything that went down.” Zane says. “It always comes across as some delusional fever dream. So the movie doesn’t leave much to the imagination. It shows actual footage of all of the insanity. There is no room for disbelief by the end of the film. You can love it or hate it but it’s impossible to deny it happened.”

The trailer also included appearances from Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction), and Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach).

The film dives into the chaos, including Zane’s infamous record-breaking performance at Download Festival, where he sang while suspended by four meat hooks. Check out the trailer here

Shinedown’s Barry Kerch Joins New TV Series “Boos, Brews, and BBQ”

Shinedown drummer Barry Kerch is taking on a new role as cohost of Boos, Brews, and BBQ, a TV series exploring America’s spookiest cities. The show promises a mix of haunted histories, hidden stories, and mouthwatering barbecue flavors.

Kerch joins BBQ expert Ty Sherrell and Spear Talk podcast host John Guarnieri for this cross-country journey. Together, they’ll uncover eerie tales from haunted towns while firing up the grill to serve bold, smoky creations that match the intensity of their adventures.

The show combines scares, stories, and savory eats for an unforgettable ride.
