Officers filed a report of aggravated battery, aggravated endangering a child and criminal damage to property in the 3000 block of James Ave, at approximately 8:08 p.m. on April 28, 2025. A 17-year-old female was listed as a victim when it was reported that her 21-year-old brother armed himself with a knife and recklessly stabbed her in the leg. The injury sustained by the 17-year-old listed victim was non-life-threatening. A 39-year-old female was listed as a second victim in the incident, along with a door that was damaged. Olsen Talalele Jr, 21, of Manhattan, was arrested on April 28, 2025, at approximately 8:08 p.m. in the 3000 block of James Ave. for aggravated battery, aggravated endangering a child and criminal damage to property. Talalele Jr. was issued a total bond of 10,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Cassandra Kinish, 32, of Manhattan, was arrested on April 28, 2025, at approximately 9:15 a.m. at 1001 S. Seth Child, for a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. Kinish is still confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $1000.

Chavez Wilson, 23, of Topeka, KS, was arrested on April 26, 2025, at approximately 3:47 p.m. in Overland Park, KS, for a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from the original charges of operating a motor vehicle with no driver’s license and transporting an open container of alcohol. Wilson was issued a total bond of $530 cash and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Zachary Evans, 33, of Kansas City, KS, was arrested on March 9, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m. in Kansas City, KS, for a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from the original charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while the license is suspended. Evans was issued a total bond of $2000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

On December 27, 2024, at approximately 3:43 PM, officers responded to a report of aggravated battery in the 700 block of Fort Riley Blvd. The incident stemmed from a road-rage altercation that escalated into a confrontation involving threats and weapon use.

According to the police report, three individuals—a 46-year-old male, a 20-year-old female, and an 18-year-old female—were identified as victims. The altercation reportedly involved a 60-year-old male, also listed as a victim, who claimed he was threatened after pointing a firearm in the direction of the other victims.

David Beck, a Manhattan resident, was arrested in connection with the incident. Beck faces charges of criminal threat and two counts of aggravated assault. Authorities set his bond at $10,000, though he was not confined at the time of the report.

Officers report the alleged subject, a 60-year-old male, was also listed as a victim as he reported harm was threatened upon him after he pointed a gun in the direction of the three other victims. Officers filed a report of an unlawful discharge of a firearm and criminal possession of weapons on December 27, 2024, at approximately 6:57 PM.  Officers report 14-year-old Radwan Alderous, of Manhattan, unintentionally shot himself. Alderous was transported by EMS to Via Christi Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Officers filed a report of criminal discharge of a firearm on December 27, 2024, at approximately 9:06 PM in the 300 block of Brookway. Michelle Wolfe, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested on December 27, 2024, at approximately 1:56 PM in the 2000 block of Strong Ave. Wolfe was arrested for the probable cause offense of domestic battery. Total bond was set at $6,000. Wolfe was confined at the time of this report.

Jamal Rhsard, 47, of Wichita, was arrested on December 28, 2024, at approximately 5:16 PM in the 400 block of Fort Riley Blvd. Rhsard was arrested for the probable cause offenses of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, interference with an LEO, use/possess with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, distribute heroin/certain stimulant/ fentanyl >100 grams, distribute material containing fentanyl- dosage 50 to <250 units, and distribute opiate/opium/narcotic/certain stimulant <3.5 grams. Total bond was set at $40,000. Rhsard was confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report of an injury accident at the corner of S. Seth Child Road and Farm Bureau Road on December 13, 2024, at approximately 3:00 PM.  Officers reported James Miller, 42, of Manhattan, stuck a concrete building in his 2014 GMC Sierra. Miller was transported to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries and was sent to Stormont Vail for more advanced care.

Marcus Grant, 41, of Ogden, was arrested on December 13, 2024, at approximately 8:30 AM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Grant was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated violation of the offender registration act and violation of the offender registration act x 8. Total bond was set at $15,000. Grant was confined at the time of this report.

Lamarques Channel, 41, of Topeka, was arrested on December 13, 2024, at approximately 3:09 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Grant was arrested on probable cause offenses of violation of the offender registration act x 5 and perjury. Total bond was set at $50,000. Channel was confined at the time of this report.

Rashawn Washington, 18, of Junction City, was arrested on December 13, 2024, at approximately 3:36 PM in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza. Washington was arrested on the probable cause offenses of interference with the judicial process and criminal threat. Total bond was set at $25,000. Washington was confined at the time of this report.

Alexander Darnell was arrested on December 13, 2024, at approximately 5:55 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Darnell was arrested on the probable cause offenses of possession of opiate/opium/narcotic/certain stimulant and vehicular burglary x 8. Total bond was set at $32,000. Darnell was confined at the time of this report.
