
The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers responded to a report of an injury crash in the 2900 block of Anderson Ave in Manhattan on August 26, 2020, at approximately 4:32 PM. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2014 Honda Civic driven by Theresa Albrecht, 78 of Manhattan, struck a 2000 Mazda Familia driven by Leah Sanderson, 22 of Fort Riley. Sanderson was transported to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. Albrecht was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way on left turn.
