Officers filed a report for forgery and making false information in the 2300 block of Stagg Hill Rd. in Manhattan on May 30, 2023, around 1:00 p.m. A 42-year-old man, Briggs Auto Group, and Consumer Portfolio Services were listed as the victims when it was reported a 41-year-old male suspect forged the victim’s signature in January 2023 to purchase a vehicle worth approximately $18,000 through Briggs to include a loan contract and financing for the vehicle through Consumer Portfolio Services.
Molly Meeks, 34, of St. George was arrested on May 30, 2023, around 2:00 p.m. on her two Dickinson County District Court warrants for failure to appear and transported to Dickinson County.
Mark Brady, 32, of Cerritos, Calif. was arrested on May 30, 2023, around 3:45 p.m. for aggravated assault in connection to a May 21, 2023, case where it was reported Brady held down a 52-year-old man at knifepoint and attempted to stab him. Brady remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $8,000.
Officers filed a report for burglary in the 300 block of N. 16th St. in Manhattan on May 30, 2023, around 7:15 p.m. A 20-year-old man was listed as the victim when he reported his unlocked truck was entered and his Canik SF 9mm pistol and ammunition inside were stolen. Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property (domestic-related) and interference with LEO in Manhattan on May 30, 2023, around 9:30 p.m. 27- and 44-year-old women were listed as the victims when it was reported Alfredo Perez, 27, of Manhattan and known to them, damaged a table, residential siding, and a moped for a total loss of approximately $1,100. While being arrested for criminal damage to property, Perez resisted officers, leading to an additional charge of interference with LEO. Perez remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $4,000.
Maurice Coleman, 39, of Manhattan was arrested on May 31, 2023, around 1:15 a.m. on his Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This warrant stems from original charges of possession of anabolic steroids and possession of marijuana. Coleman was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
