The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for domestic battery, aggravated battery and criminal damage to property in Ogden on March 4, 2021, at approximately 7:55 p.m. Officers listed 28- and 47-year-old females and a 31-year-old male as the victims when it was reported a 31-year-old male suspect damaged a cell phone and a door, and injured the 47-year-old female victim. It was also reported a 47-year-old female suspect stabbed the 31-year-old male victim in the shoulder with a knife. The 31-year-old male victim was transported to Via Christi for treatment of a minor stab wound. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $700.00. Jacob Aaron Gabriel, 31, of Ogden was arrested in connection on two counts of criminal damage to property. Gabriel was issued a total bond of $1,000.00 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for aggravated criminal sodomy in Manhattan on March 4, 2021, at approximately 8:56 p.m. Officers listed a 14-year-old as the victim and a 14-year-old male known to them as the suspect. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.
