MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for aggravated assault in the 700 block of Humboldt St. in Manhattan on February 13, 2023, around 10:30 p.m. A 38-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported a 14-year-old male pulled a knife on him during an argument between the two.
Officers filed a report for battery, battery on LEO, and interference with LEO in the 200 block of N. 9th St. in Manhattan on February 14, 2022, around 4:00 a.m. A 24-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported a 40-year-old man slapped him and bit him in the face. When officers arrived and attempted to place the suspect under arrest, he resisted by physically fighting the officers. Wendell Parrish, 40, of Manhattan was arrested for battery, battery on LEO, and interference with LEO. He remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $7,000.
