MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property and criminal discharge of a firearm in the 2000 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on December 7, 2020, at approximately 9:29 a.m. Officers listed a 21-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect shot her unoccupied vehicle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of N. Juliette Ave. and Moro St. on December 7, 2020, at approximately 4:13 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2018 Dodge Journey driven by Jack Helms, 43, of St. George had struck a 2015 Honda Civic driven by Marina Morgan, 29, of Manhattan. Summer Helms, passenger of the Dodge Journey, was transported to Via Christi for treatment of head, ear, and shoulder injuries.
