Riley County Police filed a report for aggravated battery, aggravated assault and criminal damage to property Tuesday night at Northeast Community Park.

Two men, aged 19 and 20, told police their vehicle was surrounded by a group of people in three cars at the park, just before 10 p.m., placing them in fear.

A man armed with a gun is alleged to have then jumped on the hood of the victim’s car and proceeded to punch the hood and windshield as they drove away. Officers later conducted a traffic stop on their car near the intersection of Seth Child and Amherst Roads, but did not find the suspect, who remains at large.

Police say the case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
