Two Manhattan brothers were arrested Friday on felony warrants for past sexual crimes reported to the Riley County Police Department in late February.
The alleged crimes took place between 2017 and 2021, according to an ongoing police investigation. RCPD says 27-year-old Severino Jimenez Calleja is charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy of a child under the age of 14 and four counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. The charges stem from a police report filed Feb. 21.
Also arrested was 31-year-old Antonio Jimenez Calleja, charged with two counts of rape of a child under the age of 14, aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties. The charges stem from a police report filed Feb. 25.
According to RCPD, the victim in the alleged crimes is a 10-year-old girl.
Both men are confined in the Riley County Jail on separate bonds of $400,000.
