Advanced voting came to a close Monday for the USD 383 primary.

As of noon Monday, Riley County Clerk Rich Vargo says 1,900 Riley County residents took part in early voting.

In Pottawatomie County, 13 people living in the district’s boundaries, voted in advance with 40 advance ballots mailed out. Mail ballots can be counted up until Friday.

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

There are 10 candidates on the ballot, with nine officially campaigning. Voters can select three candidates, with the top six moving on to the November general election.
