Need a ride to vote?
The League of Women Voters of Manhattan-Riley County have teamed up with local chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha, a historically black sorority and local nonprofit agency Kansas Civic Engagement Table, to provide free one-day ATA Bus passes for residents needing to cast a ballot at their polling place or to drop off a ballot in person.
Passes are available now through the end of advance voting on Monday, and can be picked up at the Douglass Center, located at 900 Yuma Street. They can also be picked up at Be Able Community, at 205 South Fourth Street. Individuals can pick up passes for friends and family.
ATA Bus also is providing free rides on Election Day Nov. 3.
