Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich said the band is in the home stretch of their 10th studio album.
Lars said, “I think it’s going to get wrapped up soon. Unless something radical happens, it would be difficult for me to believe that it won’t come out in 2016.”
He said the band has enjoyed being Record Store Day ambassadors and getting the chance to play at AT&T park in San Francisco and writing new albums it’s something the band doesn’t need to do exclusively anymore.
Metallica will play live at Rasputin Music in Berkeley, California on Saturday for Record Store Day. They will also be releasing deluxe reissues of their first two albums, “Kill ‘Em All” and “Ride The Lightning.”
