Legendary rock icons KISS make waves on the international liquor market with KISS Black Diamond in collaboration with Brands For Fans. The European company have previously created alcoholic beverages with Ghost, Motorhead, Slayer, Rammstein, Judas Priest and The Scorpions. It’s their first dark rum release under the new portfolio KISS Rum Kollection.

For a band who’ve produced classic albums since the early ’70s, defining the musical tastes of generations all over the world; what better way to celebrate their catalogue than with a premium dark rum named after what is arguably their most legendary moment?

The closing song on their eponymous debut-album, released in 1974, and immortalized on one of the world’s greatest live albums – KISS Alive, Black Diamond was instantly destined to become a classic track, showcasing the song writing skills as well as the immediately identifiable vocals and characteristic chops of KISS.

The label draws inspiration from the band’s early days, referencing both costumes and their iconic make-up, making it a pure treat for fans who grew up loving KISS and now discovering great rum.

Taking its name and character from this rock monolith, KISS Black Diamond Premium Dark Rum is an exceptionally smooth blend of Caribbean cask dark premium rum aged up to 15 years. Bottled at 40% abv in 50cl., it was released October 20th with a retail price in Sweden is SEK 369,00.

Sari H. Wilholm of Brands For Fans told us:
“It’s an amazing match for a band who were pioneers both musically and visually in the world of rock ’n’ roll. When I look at the bottle, we have created a label that embodies everything I associate with KISS: the attitude, the costumes, the songs and the make-up we all grew up with. Listening to Black Diamond still gives me the chills, and the rum makes me just as excited!”

The rum, not available in the U.S. as of yet, has a nuanced aroma with a pronounced oak-character. Add to that distinct tones of dried fruit, butterscotch, arrack, vanilla, orange peel and nuts. It has a sublime layered palate with restrained sweetness and a marked oak-character. Well defined tones of dried apricot, arrack, vanilla, nuts, dried dates, vanilla fudge, cinnamon and chocolate come through immediately.
