Foreigner Announce Orchestral Tour for March 2026

Foreigner will celebrate their extensive catalog of hit songs early next year with a newly announced Orchestral Tour, set to visit select U.S. cities in March 2026.

The run will launch with a series of performances at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, beginning March 6. Additional Vegas dates are scheduled for March 7, 11, 13, and 14.

Dance Gavin Dance Release New Single Featuring George Clinton

Dance Gavin Dance have released their new single “Space Cow Initiation Ritual,” featuring legendary P-Funk founder George Clinton. The track appears on the band’s upcoming album Pantheon and blends the group’s post-hardcore sound with Clinton’s unmistakable funk groove.

On “Space Cow Initiation Ritual,” guitarist Will Swan shares: “Getting to work with an icon like George Clinton was surreal. It pushed us to dig deeper into the funk and find a balance between his iconic groove and our own post-hardcore edge. ‘Space Cow Initiation Ritual’ blends those worlds in a way that feels fresh but familiar – I think fans of both camps are gonna vibe with it.”

Radiohead Announce Hail to the Thief Live Recordings 2003–2009

Radiohead have released Hail to the Thief Live Recordings 2003–2009, a new live album revisiting material from their sixth studio record, Hail to the Thief. Alongside the announcement, the band shared a live performance video of “There, There” from Buenos Aires, taken from the album.

The collection is out now digitally and will be available as a one-off pressing on October 31. It features performances recorded in London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, and Dublin between 2003 and 2009. The album was mixed by Ben Baptie and mastered by Matt Colton.

Sabrina Carpenter Once Channeled Axl Rose for a Guns N’ Roses Cover

Before she was packing arenas, topping charts, and racking up more than 65 million monthly Spotify listeners, Sabrina Carpenter had a surprising hard rock moment.

Long before “Espresso” and her Eras Tour dates with Taylor Swift, the former Girl Meets World star was caught on camera covering Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” — dressed just like Axl Rose.

The throwback video, recently making the rounds online, was uploaded by the YouTube channel Sabrina Carpenter UK. It’s believed to have been filmed in 2010, when Carpenter was only about 10 or 11 years old. Wearing a bandana and rocking out in front of a backdrop filled with GN’R logos and album art, she belted out the Appetite for Destruction classic.

This isn’t her first brush with rock either — her cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” went viral earlier this year after Ozzy’s passing. Looks like pop’s reigning princess has had rock ‘n’ roll in her veins for a long time. [Loudwire]

Depeche Mode’s New Concert Film Hits Theaters & IMAX This Fall

Depeche Mode are bringing their latest cinematic experience to the big screen — and it’s not just any concert film. DEPECHE MODE: M will open worldwide for a limited run in cinemas and IMAX starting Tuesday, October 28, thanks to a partnership with Trafalgar Releasing and Sony Music Vision.

After a huge debut at this year’s Tribeca Festival, the film is set to screen in more than 2,500 theaters across 60+ countries. Fans will join Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, and director Fernando Frias for an immersive journey into the heart of Mexican culture’s connection to death — all framed by the band’s powerful live performances.

If you’ve ever wanted to experience Depeche Mode on the biggest screen possible, this is your chance. [antiMusic]

Eddie Van Halen & Mick Mars’ Kramer Guitar Headed to Auction

One seriously legendary guitar is about to hit the auction block — and it’s got the fingerprints of not one, but two rock icons.

A Kramer guitar modeled after Eddie Van Halen’s iconic red, black, and white “Frankenstein” design is going up for sale this year. Van Halen played it during the Hide Your Sheep Tour in 1982–83, shredding it onstage in cities like Philadelphia, Caracas, São Paulo, and Buenos Aires.

After Eddie, the guitar later found its way into the hands of Mötley Crüe’s Mick Mars. Now, it’s set to headline Sotheby’s “Rock & Pop” auction on October 24 as part of Grails Week (Oct. 21–28).

The price tag? Sotheby’s expects it to bring in between $2 million and $3 million — right alongside other memorabilia from Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and more. [Ultimate Classic Rock]

New Book Chronicles Led Zeppelin’s First Year in Unmatched Detail

Lansdowne Books is taking pre-orders for Led Zeppelin: The Only Way To Fly, a massive new work from music historian Richard Morton Jack, set for release in September.

Years in the making, the 348-page, large-format hardback dives deep into the band’s formation and their chaotic first year together — from August 1968 to the release of Led Zeppelin II in October 1969. Packed with rare photos, press clippings, and archival material (much of it never seen before), the book also explores the members’ earlier careers. Music journalist Chris Welch, who knew and toured with the band, contributes a long introduction.

The first 250 pre-orders will also score an exclusive poster. For Zeppelin fans, this limited-edition release is about as essential as it gets. [Blabbermouth]

Silly Goose Frontman Arrested at Chicago Pop-Up Performance

Silly Goose singer Jackson Foster was arrested Saturday night (Aug. 2) following an impromptu performance at a Chicago-area BP gas station. The pop-up set took place after the band attended Lollapalooza, continuing their reputation for surprise shows in unconventional locations.

The police were called during the performance, and Foster was taken into custody. In videos posted to Instagram, the band documented parts of the set and the moment Foster was led away in handcuffs. One caption read, “They let me go to jail,” while another post showed the band returning to the site the next night, performing across the street with a sign and speakers to promote their upcoming album, Keys to the City.

In a comment on the band’s post, Foster explained he was charged with criminal trespassing despite claiming the gas station employees had given them permission. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 2.

Despite the legal trouble, Silly Goose used the attention to promote their latest single, “Now Dance,” and continued teasing new music from their upcoming release. (Loudwire)

Ozzy Osbourne Exhibition Extended Due to Popular Demand

The Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero exhibition at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery has been extended through January 18, 2026, after strong public interest. Originally set to close in late September, the exhibit will now remain open an additional four months.

Launched on June 25 and opened by Sharon Osbourne, the exhibition was timed to coincide with Black Sabbath’s homecoming concert at Villa Park on July 5. Developed in partnership with Central BID Birmingham, the free display highlights Ozzy’s career—from his early days in Aston to becoming a global rock icon.

On display are some of Osbourne’s most notable achievements, including Grammy Awards, MTV honors, and plaques from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Fans can also view a collection of platinum and gold records, personal memorabilia, and rare photos and video chronicling his decades-long legacy.

The extension gives more fans the chance to experience the story of one of rock’s most enduring and celebrated figures. (antiMusic)

Nothing More Hits #1 Again With “Freefall” Featuring Chris Daughtry

Nothing More has returned to the top of the rock charts with their latest single “Freefall” (feat. Chris Daughtry), which this week claimed the No. 1 spot on both Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay and Mediabase’s Active Rock charts.

“Freefall” marks the fourth single from their Carnal album to reach the top position, following previous hits “House On Sand” (feat. Eric Vanlerberghe of I Prevail), “Angel Song” (feat. David Draiman), and “If It Doesn’t Hurt.”

“It’s been incredible to see a song that means so much to us resonate with so many of you,” said bassist Daniel Oliver. “We’re very honored to have Chris Daughtry lend his voice and spirit to this one. Huge thanks to K9s For Warriors for the amazing work you do, and to everyone else who helped bring this song to life. You’ve taken us to the top of the charts for the 4th time in a row!”

Chris Daughtry added, “It’s a privilege to celebrate this win with a band I admire and love so much.”

The video for “Freefall” was shot in Clifton, Tennessee, and features local firefighters and law enforcement, some of whom also served as technical advisors. Actor Michael Lombardi, known for his role in the series Rescue Me, stars in the video, bringing authenticity through his long-standing connection to first responder stories.

Nothing More partnered with K9s For Warriors—a nonprofit that provides service dogs to veterans suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injuries—to raise awareness and support through the song. Their goal is to raise $20,000, the cost to sponsor, rescue, and train a station dog. A portion of merchandise sales and direct donations linked to the video will support the organization’s mission.

Since 2011, K9s For Warriors has rescued over 2,000 dogs and matched more than 1,000 veterans with service animals at no cost to them. (antiMusic)

Terry Reid, Original Led Zeppelin Vocal Candidate, Dies at 75

British rock singer Terry Reid, widely known for turning down early offers to front both Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, has died at the age of 75. He had been undergoing cancer treatment in recent months.

Born on November 13, 1949, in St. Neots, England, Reid began his music career in the early 1960s. As a member of Peter Jay and the Jaywalkers, he performed in clubs across the UK and even opened for the Rolling Stones.

Though he never reached the mainstream success of some of his peers, Reid’s powerful voice and early influence left a lasting mark on the rock world. He famously declined Jimmy Page’s invitation to join Led Zeppelin, instead recommending Robert Plant for the role. He also passed on an offer from Deep Purple.

Reid’s legacy endures as a respected figure among musicians and fans, remembered for his talent, integrity, and role in shaping the paths of rock history’s biggest names. (Ultimate Classic Rock)

Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe’s fiancée, Kimberly Burch, has reportedly gone overboard on The 80s Cruise, per TMZ.

Burch went overboard Sunday night (March 2) on a Royal Caribbean ship, according to her mother, Carnell Burch. Downe called Carnell on Monday with the devastating news. Reports suggest the couple had an argument before the incident, but it’s unclear if she fell or jumped. Her body remains missing.

The U.S. Coast Guard assisted in the search, but efforts have since been called off. Royal Caribbean confirmed the incident, stating they are supporting the family.

Passengers said the ship, en route to Nassau, Bahamas, turned around after an overboard announcement interrupted the band Squeeze’s performance.

Fans got a surprise earlier today (March 3) when Spiritbox briefly released a new track, “Crystal Roses”, ahead of schedule.
Scantlin later claimed in a fan-recorded video that he was “roofied” by former bassist Sean Sammon. Flipping double middle fingers before storming off Scantlin said “I suck, I suck and I suck … but I was roofied.
Louder Than Life 2025 is ready to blow the roof off Louisville with its biggest and loudest lineup yet. From September 18-21, over 160 bands will take over six stages at the Highland Festival Grounds for the festival’s 11th edition.

This year’s lineup is nothing short of legendary. Slayer returns to melt faces, while Rob Zombie delivers a global exclusive performance of Astro-Creep: 2000 for its 25th anniversary. Marilyn Manson sets the tone on Thursday, Avenged Sevenfold, Sleep Token, and Breaking Benjamin dominate Friday, Deftones, Bad Omens, and A Perfect Circle take over Saturday, and Sunday wraps up with Bring Me The Horizon, $uicideboy$, and Evanescence.

With Danny Wimmer Presents making this the largest lineup in the festival’s history, Louder Than Life 2025 is set to be an all-out rock and metal takeover.

Corey Taylor & Bad Omens Unite for Haunting ‘Dust in the Wind’ Cover on Queen of the Ring Soundtrack

As the buzz for Queen of the Ring—the electrifying biopic about wrestling icon Mildred Burke— builds, Sumerian Records has unveiled a powerhouse collaboration between Corey Taylor and Bad Omens. Their haunting take on the Kansas classic “Dust in the Wind”, produced by Aaron Gilhuis, sets the tone for the official motion picture soundtrack, dropping March 7 alongside the film.

Written and directed by Ash Avildsen, Queen of the Ring tells the untold story of Mildred Burke, the trailblazing wrestler who defied the odds in the 1930s-50s, becoming the first million-dollar female athlete and headlining arenas against male competitors in an era when women’s wrestling was banned across much of the U.S.

Starring Emily Bett Rickards in a career-defining role as Burke, the film also features Josh Lucas, Walton Goggins, Gavin Casalegno, Tyler Posey, Deborah Ann Woll, and pro wrestling stars Kamille, Toni Storm, Trinity Fatu, and Jim Cornette.

Timed for International Women’s Day weekend, Queen of the Ring isn’t just a film—it’s a tribute to the fearless women who changed history.
Kansas singer Ronnie Platt revealed on social media that he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer earlier this month. The band has canceled two upcoming shows in Louisiana.

Platt, who took over for Steve Walsh in 2014, reassured fans, saying, “For all of you asking, Tuesday [February 11] I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer but before everyone gets all excited, it has a 99% survival rate, it has not spread. It’s contained to my thyroid. I just have to have my thyroid removed. Go through some rehab time and be right back in the saddle.
The site presents a pink-hued forest backdrop with scattered letters—3 V’s, 2 O’s, plus A, M, D, S, and U. Fans can rearrange them to unlock the next phase. The TikTok also features a haunting, music box-like tune, reportedly from the band.

Crack the code, and you’re led to choose between the Arcadia House or Veridian House, with some even uncovering coordinates to Shepherd’s Monument in Staffordshire, England. The mystery deepens—can you solve it?

Farewell to a Jam Legend: Rick Buckler Passes at 69

Rick Buckler, powerhouse drummer of The Jam, has died at 69. His former bandmates confirmed the news, paying tribute to the rhythm man who helped define the English new wave scene.

Paul Weller took to X, reminiscing about their early days: “I’m shocked and saddened by Rick’s passing. I’m thinking back to us all rehearsing in my bedroom in Stanley Road, Woking. To all the pubs and clubs we played at as kids, to eventually making a record. What a journey! We went far beyond our dreams and what we made stands the test of time. My deepest sympathy to all family and friends.”

Bassist Bruce Foxton added, “Rick was a good guy and a great drummer whose innovative drum patterns helped shape our songs. I’m glad we had the chance to work together as much as we did. My thoughts are with Leslie and his family at this very difficult time.”

Buckler had recently canceled tour dates due to health concerns. Though the cause of death remains undisclosed, his impact on music is undeniable. Rest in rhythm, Rick.

Placebo’s Brian Molko Faces Defamation Charge Over Italian PM Comments

Placebo frontman Brian Molko is in legal trouble after allegedly insulting Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during a 2023 festival performance.

While playing Italy’s Sonic Park festival, Molko reportedly called Meloni a “piece of shit, fascist, racist” and a “Nazi” on stage. Following a complaint, Italian authorities launched an investigation, leading to defamation charges for “contempt of the institutions.”

Under Italian law, defaming the government can result in fines of up to $5,240. The 52-year-old singer, who helped Placebo break through with 1998’s Without You I’m Nothing, now faces potential legal fallout.

No word yet from Molko or the band—but the controversy is far from over.

DragonForce Announce High-Speed European Tour for Summer 2025

DragonForce is set to blaze across Europe this summer with a 14-date tour spanning June and July. The power metal titans will hit major festivals like Sweden Rock, Nova Rock, and Graspop Metal Meeting, along with select dates alongside Powerwolf.

Guitarist Herman Li hyped up the tour, saying, “I can’t wait to see you all again in Europe this summer… playing festivals and some dates with our friends in Powerwolf!”
